Some documents must be downloaded while others can be filled out and submitted online. Most of the documents that must be downloaded can be filled out on your computer. After filling them out, use SAVE-AS and save them with a new name (your last name and the document name is good - for example: smith-registration). After saving the filled-out document to your computer, you can attach it to an email to the appropriate person.

Complete this form with your initial availability for the season. After submitting the form you will receive, by email, a copy of what you submitted to keep for your records.
Around about February 1, we will have available for your use, an Availability Update Form so you can advise us of any changes to your initial availability.

Please indicate one day of each week and one Saturday that you can be available to work a scrimmage. You will only be assigned one or possibly two scrimmages. Your scrimmage assignment will come to you by email the same way as your regular game assignments.

  • Your report WILL be sent to umpire you observed. Please be constructive and considerate in your comments. These reports are intended to help the umpire improve.

  • Complete and submit this report immediately following the game.
  • This report will be sent to State Commissioner of Officials for appropriate action. It will be copied to the AIA Softball Umpire Board president and trainer.
  • After submitting the report, you will get an email that includes a copy of what you submitted.
  • An EJECTION is when a person is removed from participating in the game because of inappropriate behavior or unsporting acts. If the person is an adult, he or she should be instructed to leave the premises. If the person is a student-athlete, she should remain in the dugout unless proper adult supervision is available to escort her from the premises.
  • A RESTRICTION TO THE DUGOUT is when a person is not allowed to enter the field of play and must remain in the dugout because of a rule violation that has a penalty that includes restriction to the dugout.

INCIDENT REPORTS
If you have a concern about something that happened while working or watching a high school softball game or while attending a high school softball umpire function, please use the the form below to register your concern.

The report will initially be sent to the AIASUB president, vice president and trainer. Depending on the nature of your report, it may be sent on to the AIA state or regional commissioner, the AIASUB board or the AIA softball Ad Hoc committee.

HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL UMPIRE INCIDENT REPORT

This form is to be used by any high school softball umpire. It is to be used to express a concern or report a problem.
This report will be sent to the president, vice president and training director of the AIA Softball Umpire Board who will take any action deemed appropriate.
